Description

MULTIPAK is a grey, non-drying jointing compound made from pure paraffin oil and fillers like talc and chalk. Suitable for potable (drinking) water.

Application

Used with flax/hemp for sealing threaded joints on pipe systems for potable water, heating (90°C), natural gas, gas, butane, low pressure steam (140°C), cooling, and compressed air (16 bars). Also suitable for systems with antifreeze fluids like ethylene glycol/water and air pressure (max. 15 bar).

Technical Properties

Approved for potable water and all three gas families. Ensures sealed joints and allows easy dismantling as it never dries up. Clean, pleasant to work with, and economical. Can be used at lower temperatures with a freezing point below -20°C. Maximum working temperatures are 130°C - 140°C due to the risk of scorching the flax/hemp.

Directions

Clean the thread. Apply flax/hemp evenly and tightly to the thread in the direction of inclination. Finally, cover the packed thread with an even layer of MULTIPAK, and assemble immediately. Wipe away excess compound with a cloth.

Approvals

Approved for potable water and gas (DIN 30660, EN 751-2, DGP DG-3866). Also approved for drinking water (GDV 06/0004). Tolerates frost with a freezing point below -15°C and allows easy adjustment and disassembly.

Packaging
