Identification

Except in single occupancy residential premises, above-ground consumer piping shall be identified when any one of the following applies:

• The operating pressure of the consumer piping exceeds 7KPa
• The location of the pipe is such that it is not readily identifiable as consumer piping.
  
• adjacent to branches, junctions, valves, wall and floor penetrations
• at spacings of not more than 8m
• on all tailpipes

The identification shall conform to AS 1345 in all other respects.
