An angle valve, also known as an angle stop valve, corner valve, or shut-off angle valve, is a type of valve designed to regulate the flow of fluids (liquid and gases) and slurries in a piping system. It’s called an “angle” valve because it has an L-shaped design, with one inlet and one outlet oriented at a 90° angle to each other.

Angle valves are commonly used to control the water supply to plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, dishwashers, and washing machines. They function primarily to shut off or allow water to flow, which is particularly useful in case of leaks or when you need to make plumbing repairs.
